Q1:What
is the standard packages of SDRAM.
A1:
1.SDRAM |
(1)16M (1M*16)SDRAM: TSOP-50 |
(2) (*16/*8/*4) SDRAM: TSOP-54 / BGA-54 |
(3) (*32) SDRAM: TSOP-86 |
2.DDR SDRAM |
(1)(*8/*4) DDR2 : BGA- 60 |
(2)(*16) DDR2 : BGA- 84 |
(3)(*8/*4) DDR3 : BGA- 94(78+16)/ 86(78+8) |
(4)(*16) DDR3 : BGA- 112(96+16)/ 96(96+0) |
3.Mobile SDRAM |
(1)(*16) MSDR : BGA-54 |
(2)(*32) MSDR : BGA-90 |
4.Mobile DDR SDRAM |
(1)(*16) MDDR : BGA-60 |
(2)(*32) MDDR : BGA-90 |
5.BGA-90Graphic SDRAM |
(1)(*32) GSDR : TQFP-100 |
6.Graphic DDR SDRAM |
(1)(*16) GDDR1: TSOP-66 |
(2)(*32) GDDR1: TQFP-100 / FBGA-144 |
(3)(*16) GDDR2: FBGA-84 |
(4)(*32) GDDR3: FBGA-136 |
(5)(*32) GDDR4: FBGA-136 |
Q2:What is the standard pin assignment of SDRAM.
A2:Almost all SDRAM maker follow same rule.
you can also reference on all datasheet.
Q3:What is the meanings of speed code;does all Dram maker follow same rule ?
A3:
About speed
code ,most of the SDRAM makers follow clock rate (Tck):
for example: Micron /Qimonda /Nanya /Elpida /ProMOS /Eorex...
- 10 for SDR-100(Tck=100Mhz)
- 7.5 for SDR-133(Tck=133Mhz) CL3
- 6 for SDR-166(Tck=166Mhz) CL3
- 5 for SDR-200(Tck=200Mhz) CL3
- 7.5 for DDR1-266(Tck=133Mhz) CL2
- 6 for DDR1-333(Tck=166Mhz) CL2.5
- 5 for DDR1-400(Tck=200Mhz) CL3
- 5 for DDR2-400(Tck=200Mhz) 3-3-3 (CL-Trcd-Trp)
- 3.7 for DDR2-533(Tck=266Mhz) 4-4-4 (CL-Trcd-Trp)
- 3 for DDR2-667(Tck=333Mhz) 5-5-5 (CL-Trcd-Trp)
- 2.5 for DDR2-800(Tck=400Mhz) 6-6-6 (CL-Trcd-Trp)
but some company's speed code was represented data rate ( 1/2*Tck for
DDR )
for example:
- 3 for DDR1-333(Tck=166Mhz) CL2.5
And all information can be seen in their datasheet.
